In this issue: It’s a shorter issue today. I have family visiting for the holidays, as I’m sure many of you reading do as well. Hang On is the first story I’ve written based off of an audience poll. A few weeks ago, I asked my audience what they were in the mood to read. Something funny? Something reflective? A bit of both? 67% answered both. This story is a holiday read inspired by Notre Dame’s restoration about the bumps in the road and the destinations they lead to. Enjoy Hang On - Part Three!

Thruway
Cam was living life in the fast lane. Literally. En route to her hotel she’d ended up in the E-Z Pass lane ...only she didn’t have an E-Z Pass... Give me a break. She’d just explain to the attendant at the toll booth window that this whole situation was a fluke. Cam got to the front of the line. Full stop. The toll booth was automated. A red light flashed as Cam inched her Honda Civic forward and a toll barrier lowered. She searched for a call button. Something. Anything that resembled tech support. She came up short. The perks of a digital world. From behind her a cacophony of car horns sounded. The only way out was through. Cam got back behind the wheel, fastened her seatbelt, and braced for impact.
