Route 24 is your civic education stop for stories driving public trust.
Driver’s Ed parks in your inbox on Mondays to shift your gears on key policy debates and test drive people-powered solutions.
Route 24’s latest stops include:
In this issue: Hello again, NYC! I’m writing to you from the East Coast this week. It’s been a while and, oh my, did I miss you! I’ve been in town for International Women’s Day programming, while also pursuing meetings. All in a New York minute, as the saying goes.1
Last issue, I wrote about the auto tariff debate. It’s not just auto tariffs that put Americans in a jam, though. Ars Technica brings you up-to-speed on how tariffs also impact video games:
“Video games are one of the most popular and beloved forms of entertainment for Americans of all ages," the Entertainment Software Association said in a statement last month. "Tariffs on video game devices and related products would negatively impact hundreds of millions of Americans and would harm the industry’s significant contributions to the U.S. economy…”
As reported by Kyle Orland for Ars Technica.
I’ll see you back on the scenic route this Friday!
Stay the course,
Sam

In the 1970’s, Johnny Carson defined a New York minute as “the interval between a Manhattan traffic light turning green and (the car) behind you honking its horn.”Source: The Grammarist
